Within the paranormal 'circles' there seems to be a recent surge in name-calling, complaints, bashing and fighting. Every time I come across a post or an article about 'this group' or 'that person' who did such and such, or shouldn't do 'this or that', I wonder, why is this even going on?? Why is the paranormal community so competitive and cranky at times?
It's bad enough that the paranormal isn't exactly a recognized field, and this tantrums only add to the bad reputation that paranormal groups seem to have within today's society.
We should be about HELPING people, and each other! My number one focus has always been to help people understand the paranormal, whether it's activity in their home, or just answering questions for them that they are too afraid to ask anyone else for fear of being called a crazy person.
We really need to stick together in our paranormal community and band together instead of tearing each other apart.
It's sad that anyone who becomes a paranormal media personality has to then deal with people bashing them on a constant basis! I feel that even if you don't like the person on that ghost-related show on tv, at least they are bringing some awareness to the general public in regards to the paranormal, and that is a GOOD thing!
Years ago you would have never seen the paranormal discussed on news shows, but today it's fairly common and I have seen it many times.
So I say, let's band together folks! Unless you have walked a mile in another person's moccasins, then don't jump to conclusions about them, especially if they are a paranormal tv personality.
